Experimental Battery Status 0.1.0 for Cthulhu.

Suggested shortcut: Cthulhu+Shift+B in desktop and laptop layouts. With one battery, announce its name, charging state when known, and charge. With several batteries, open Battery Menu; Up/Down browses and Enter/Escape close silently. Devices reporting coarse charge levels retain those labels rather than artificial percentages.

Requires Cthulhu with interactive Tentacle support and the UPower service on the system D-Bus. The upower command-line tool is not required. Requests presentation and interaction access. No root access, power-setting changes, background notifications, or network access are used by the tentacle.

    Source revision: 0392f3e55a. Matching build/SDK revision: 4be35fcf9c37849acf62f733f30e1cff22157a62.

Verified: make check (including existing tentacles), injected battery-source tests, actual-host tests for single/multiple batteries, partial failures, unavailable/slow service, and silent completion. The packaged amd64 executable was checked against real UPower data with a laptop and DualSense Wireless Controller and returned the expected two-device Battery Menu. Static amd64 and arm64 packages, archive layout, executable architectures, and SHA-256 digests were checked. arm64 was cross-built without native execution.

This experimental release enables full installation testing. Live shortcut, arrow navigation, Enter/Escape dismissal, audible speech, Braille, lock/handoff, and remapping acceptance remain to be verified in the running reader.

In global Cthulhu Preferences → Tentacles, add or refresh https://git.stormux.org/storm/cthulhu-tentacles, select Battery Status, press Space, review presentation and interaction access, and choose Install and enable. Wait for Active, then press Cthulhu+Shift+B.

See battery-status/README.md for requirements, behavior, and live test steps. Source and packages are GPL-3.0-or-later. SHA256SUMS includes both package digests.
