Wormhole 0.1.2 (experimental) Pre-Release
released this
2026-10-13 21:52:57 -04:00 | 2 commits to master since this releaseExperimental Magic Wormhole Tentacle 0.1.2 for Cthulhu-Go.
Requires Cthulhu-Go with interactive Tentacle settings support, the Magic Wormhole CLI (wormhole), and xclip for Xorg clipboard operations. Tested build/SDK revision: 95c9d49b1ccf5feac05a2bc83db95b52a0895bb1. Source revision:
9823d77b55.In global Preferences → Tentacles, add or refresh https://git.stormux.org/storm/cthulhu-tentacles, select Wormhole, and choose Install and enable. Suggested shortcut: Cthulhu+Ctrl+Shift+W on desktop and laptop layouts.
New in 0.1.2: registered Settings in global Preferences → Tentacles opens Wormhole preferences directly, including when the Wormhole CLI is missing. Save returns to reader preferences; Escape discards edits. The shortcut changes from Alt+Shift to Ctrl+Shift. Rebuild the matching reader before testing.
Send the focused line or a single clipboard text/file/folder/PNG item; receive text, files and folders. Includes internal keyboard forms, cancellation, and independent clipboard preferences. Requests presentation and interaction access. Files are received in Downloads; existing destinations are refused.
Verified before upload: make check, Wormhole race tests, reader settings registration/dispatch tests, and the packaged amd64 shortcut/settings registration, menu and settings form through the actual Cthulhu-Go host. Static amd64/arm64 archives and SHA-256 digests were checked. Installation and transfers through the live reader are the next validation step. Physical keyboard, audible speech and connected Braille acceptance remain open; this release is published for testing. arm64 was cross-built without native execution.
See wormhole/README.md for live verification, limits and dependencies. Source and packages are GPL-3.0-or-later. SHA256SUMS contains both archive digests; the repository catalog carries the same values. Resource limits do not sandbox same-user programs; install only publishers you trust.

Hello World 0.1.0 (experimental) Pre-Release
released this
2026-10-13 16:24:50 -04:00 | 9 commits to master since this releaseExperimental Hello World Tentacle for Cthulhu-Go.
Use Cthulhu-Go with repository package installation and uninterruptible presentation support. Python Cthulhu and older Go reader builds cannot install this release. The matching SDK and reader changes are still experimental.
Packages are statically linked native Linux executables for amd64 and arm64. Add or refresh https://git.stormux.org/storm/cthulhu-tentacles in global Preferences → Tentacles, select Hello World, and press Space to review and install/enable it. Its suggested shortcut is Cthulhu+Alt+Shift+H in both layouts.
The command requests presentation access and returns “Hello world!” for speech and Braille. Normal speech modes, screen lock, terminal handoff and session revocation remain controlled by the reader.
Verified: package checksums and manifests, amd64 package installation and command output through the actual host, private GTK/AT-SPI workflow, production guardian package lifecycle, full Go tests and affected-package race checks. The arm64 executable was cross-built and inspected, without an arm64 execution test. Audible speech, physical shortcuts and connected Braille acceptance remain separate live checks.
See the source README and hello-world/README.md for development and live verification. Source and packages are GPL-3.0-or-later. SHA256SUMS is attached; the catalog also records each archive digest. Only install publishers you trust: resource limits do not sandbox same-user programs.
