Keybindings

Cthulhu has many commands, some of which are bound to a keystroke, others of which are unbound. You can bind, rebind, and unbind Cthulhu's commands by following the steps below.

Binding an Unbound Command

Get into the Cthulhu Preferences dialog by pressing Cthulhu ModifierSpace.

Move to the Key Bindings page.

Arrow to the cell which contains the command you want to assign a keystroke to.

Arrow once to the right. This will place focus in the Key Binding column. Press Return.

Press the desired key combination.

Press Return to confirm the new combination. The new keystroke will be saved and the check box in the last column (the Modified column) will indicate that the key binding has been modified.

Press the Apply button.

Changing Existing Bindings

Get into the Cthulhu Preferences dialog by pressing Cthulhu ModifierSpace.

Move to the Key Bindings page.

Arrow to the cell which contains the binding you which to change and press Return.

Press the desired key combination.

Press Return to confirm the new combination. The new keystroke will be saved and the check box in the last column (the Modified column) will indicate that the key binding has been modified.

Press the Apply button.

Restoring Original Bindings

Get into the Cthulhu Preferences dialog by pressing Cthulhu ModifierSpace.

Move to the Key Bindings page.

Arrow to the modified column associated with the key binding.

Uncheck the checkbox by pressing Space.

Press the Apply button.

Unbinding Bound Commands

Get into the Cthulhu Preferences dialog by pressing Cthulhu ModifierSpace.

Move to the Key Bindings page.

Arrow to the cell which contains the binding you which to delete and press Return.

When prompted for the new keybinding, press Delete or BackSpace. You will be told that the key binding has been removed.

Press Return to confirm.

Press the Apply button.
